What we collect
Short version: your scores and your goals, because that is the product. One cookie to keep you signed in. Analytics only if you say yes. Your data is never sold, to anyone.
To sign you in
Your email address and a password, both handled by Supabase Auth — the password is hashed there and never reaches us in a form anyone could read. Staying signed in needs one cookie. That cookie is strictly necessary: without it there is no way to know the browser asking for your dashboard is yours, so it is not something consent can switch off. Sign out and it goes.
What you put in
Your weekly scores across the seven dimensions, the one action you name each time, your goals, and the results you enter against them period by period — including any note you write beside a number. Also a display name, a handle and a tagline, if you set them. All of it is yours; all of it is protected at the database by row level security, which means the rules live next to the data rather than in application code that could forget to ask.
What other people can see
Nothing, until you do two separate things: join a community, and then choose which of your goals appears in it. Neither implies the other — joining a community shows its members your name and nothing else: no goal, no score, no note. A goal you share is visible to the members of that community and to no one else, and unsharing it removes it from the room. Nothing is published to the open web at all; Live SEVEN used to have public profile pages and no longer does.
Recipes, if you switch them on
Recipes is an add-on: off until you switch it on in Settings, and free. What you save there — recipes, and your grocery list — is yours alone, protected the same way as everything else you put in. Your grocery list is never shared with anyone. Nothing in Recipes touches your scores, goals or habits. Switching it off hides it and keeps what you saved; deleting a recipe deletes it.
Actions
Actions are fifty-two things worth doing once, one a week. When you choose one we keep which one, the week you chose it for, and the day you said it was done. That is yours alone — not shown to a community, not to your Partner. Nothing in Actions touches your scores, goals or results. Letting one pass deletes the record of choosing it.
Blocking and reporting
You can block anybody you share a room with. After that, the two of you stop seeing each other in every room — names, shared goals, celebrations, replies and hearts — and neither can reply to or heart the other. They are not told, though they may notice you are gone. The people you have blocked are listed in Settings, where you can undo it. You can also report a person, a celebration or a reply. A report reaches Live SEVEN and nobody else, with a copy of what was reported kept so it can be read even if the original is deleted, and the person reported is never told who reported them. Live SEVEN can delete what was reported, or take somebody out of a room for good.
Your Partner, if you have one
One person, chosen by you, who accepted an invite you sent — or whose invite you accepted. They see your weekly scores, the dimension you circled and the one action you named, and you see exactly the same of theirs. It does not work one way round. They also see the goals you have specifically shared with them, one goal at a time, and the results you enter against those. They can read all of it and change none of it. Either of you can end it alone, at any time, without the other agreeing, and everything stops being visible the moment you do. A goal you had shared with a Partner stops being shared then too — a future Partner does not inherit it.
Your notes, and your scores
Your notes are shared with nobody. Not a community, not a Partner, not us in any form we would show anyone. They are kept in a separate table that only you can read, which is a deliberate choice rather than a setting: there is no arrangement of options that would let somebody else see them. Your weekly scores are never shared with a community or published anywhere; the single exception is the Partner above, and only while that lasts.
If you connect WHOOP
Nothing until you ask for it, in Settings, on your own account. When you do, WHOOP sends us a key to read your data and we keep it encrypted — the key that unlocks it lives on our servers and not in the database, so the stored version is useless on its own. What we read is narrow and it is listed on WHOOP’s own screen before you agree: recent sleep, recovery, resting heart rate and heart rate variability. We use it for one thing — a line beside Physical Health when you sit down to score your week, so the number you give is given with last night in front of you. It is information and never an answer: nothing WHOOP sends moves one of your seven or fills in a goal, and nothing you write in Live SEVEN is ever sent back to them. Disconnecting in Settings deletes the keys here immediately. WHOOP keeps its own list of the apps you have allowed, so remove Live SEVEN there too if you want it gone from both sides.
If you pay
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe and never reaches us in any form. What we keep is which plan you are on, whether it is active, when it renews or ends, and Stripe’s reference numbers for you and your subscription — enough to know whether you are a member, and nothing about the card. Stripe keeps its own record of each payment, under its own privacy policy, and sends the receipts.
A Family plan shares nothing by itself. The person paying sees the email address they invited and whether that invitation was accepted. They do not see your scores, your goals, your habits or your notes, and you do not see theirs. Being on the same plan is a way of paying, not a room.
Analytics
Google Analytics, and only if you allow it. Until you do, the tag runs with storage denied — it sets no cookies and sends no identifiers, which is why the banner is a real question rather than a formality. Allow it and it records page views, rough location by country, and which browser and device you used. It never receives your email, your scores, your goals or your notes.
Links that pay us
Some places in Live SEVEN point at something outside it that helps with a dimension — a book, an app, a piece of gear. A few of those links earn us a commission or a referral credit if you follow them and buy something. Every one of those is marked paid link right where you would click it, not only here.
What that does not change: nothing is on those lists that would not be on them without the commission, nothing is ordered by what it pays, and no feature or tier is gated behind following any of them. Recommendations never appear beside a low score — only where you are choosing to set a goal. The money keeps the product being built.
Following one of those links takes you to somebody else’s site, which will do its own tracking under its own terms. We do not add any of our own: Live SEVEN records nothing when you click, and gets told nothing about what you do afterwards beyond, in some cases, that a sale happened.
Changing your mind
Here, whenever you like. It takes effect immediately.
Getting rid of it
Delete a goal and its results go with it. Ask and we will delete the account outright — profile, pulses, goals, results — which the database does in one cascade, not as a background job you have to trust. If you are paying, the subscription is cancelled first, so nothing is charged after the account is gone. Email tony@whygametime.com.
